Caroline was approached for the design of a new-build on the beautiful sister island on Gozo.  The client's wish was to keep as much of the traditional style as possible.  The famous Maltese cement patterned tiles, exposed limestone walls, beautiful wooden beams and stone slabs (travi and xorok)  - a blend of traditional materials which make up a typical Maltese home, combined with beautiful blue tones and yellow pops of colour give this space a crisp look.

A dusty blue wall panel creates a separation of space in the dining area whilst also cutting off from the limestone wall colour.  A glass pendant light over the dining table and rope lights around the ceiling give the clients the option of creating a warm ambiance while having guests over.

The kitchen island was purposely set to face the large terrace doors, through which one can enjoy the picturesque country views, while cooking family meals and watching over the children in the living area.  And a cozy fireplace with a corner design was strategically placed in a way that one would see its warm glow from the hallway.

A great setting for a family home.
